Wayne's Make My Day Cooking Lab was founded in June 2015, and we officially moved into our current space in June 2016. We currently host an average of 150 events annually. The "Singles Only" cooking class was my very first offering, and over the past decade, it has surpassed 200 sessions. I sometimes feel like a love coach! In 2021, I developed a new event: the "Singles Only" Collaborative Cooking Class! A truly exclusive experience!
This class operates differently from others. It's currently the only ongoing "Singles Only" cooking class of its kind on the market. It offers more than just meeting the opposite sex; you'll learn to cook, socialize with new people, share a meal, and enjoy wine! Each session is strictly a 6-man, 6-woman combination, no exceptions! Classes typically last 5 hours: about 1 hour for a welcoming drink, 2 hours for interactive cooking in small groups, and the final 2 hours for a communal dinner. Chef Wayne's concept for the class flows from the preparation to the shared enjoyment of the meal, viewing the entire process as a true feast. Having lived in Melbourne, Australia, for many years, he deeply misses the lively atmosphere of festive gatherings with cherished family and friends abroad. Therefore, the dining experience incorporates the concept of passing dishes and sharing, genuinely hoping everyone can feel warmth and sincere connection.
Regarding cooking, most men might feel apprehensive. You can view this as a new attempt, a fresh experience. In reality, cooking serves as an interactive medium and is also a factor in selecting participants. Those who come to learn cooking typically appreciate the finer aspects of life. The class structure allocates about 40% to group cooking, 40% to shared dining, and 20% to other interactive activities. Even if you don't meet a suitable partner, you will have gained culinary experience, made new friends, and enjoyed a delicious meal with wine, spending a pleasant and relaxing weekend.
Love isn't something one person can decide alone; the other person accounts for 50%. For men and women, attraction and connection happen when you meet, converse, and interact. 🔹 Course Statement - For First-Time Participants in the Singles Cooking Class
This is not a typical matchmaking event. We are dedicated to helping singles connect with other like-minded individuals. The organizers cannot directly control or choose partners for participants based on age, looks, appearance, attire, or profession. While some sessions may have specific age or height requirements, the participants in this particular class have generally exhibited the following traits since its inception:

Past participants have married, entered relationships, and formed close friendships. After attending a first-time session, you can also join one of five LINE activity groups for past participants, which host various events periodically. 🔹 Collaborative Cooking Method Explained
1. Collaborative Menu: Anticipate 5-7 dishes, with each pair completing one dish.
2. Chef Wayne will provide guidance and assign tasks, ensuring everyone can complete the table of delicious dishes within the timeframe.
3. Everyone will then sit down beautifully to chat, enjoy drinks, and savor their homemade creations!

**Wayne Lin**
**"I hope to foster human connection, share warmth, and create value through cooking."**
Born in Shilin, Taipei, Taiwan. Studied in Australia from the age of 13 (9th grade). Majored in Fine Arts and pursued a Master's in Graphic Design at the University of Melbourne. Spent over 14 years abroad before settling in Taiwan in 2007.
During his time abroad, he lived near Queen Victoria Market for an extended period. The readily available fresh ingredients sparked his interest in culinary exploration. He attended several short-term culinary training courses and learned home-style cooking from a Sicilian Italian mother. His sociable nature allowed him to exchange culinary knowledge and cultural insights with friends from various countries, enabling him to taste and learn numerous international home-style dishes! Besides traditional Taiwanese home cooking, he has a grasp of various global cuisines. With an Australian-like personality, he enjoys researching recipes and spices at his own pace, preferring to create dishes he genuinely enjoys rather than following trends!
