Fine-grained white earthenware that brings out the glaze's color.
A distinctive glaze with white crystals dancing on a cool, matte blue-green.
This kinchu bowl is created by combining these elements.
A kinchu is a vessel with a pouring spout on one side, such as on bowls or cups.
It is a shape that has been cherished in Japan since ancient times, used as a sake vessel for alcoholic beverages, and also for sauces or dressings.
This kinchu was created more for its decorative accent to the vessel rather than for its functional pouring aspect.
We hope you will enjoy using it for a variety of dishes, not limited to its kinchu form, such as simmered dishes, stir-fries, salads, or stews.
All processes, from kneading the clay to shaping, bisque firing, glazing, and final firing, are done by hand using a small electric kiln and a potter's wheel in my home studio.
While mass production is not possible, each piece has its own unique expression, and you can enjoy the charm that comes from being handmade.
The item you receive will be the same as pictured.
The base of the bowl will be sanded to minimize scratching your table.
I am constantly exploring better combinations of various glazes and clays, creating a diverse range of pottery in various colors and shapes.
It is impossible to create exactly the same piece twice; these are vessels that, while appearing similar, are truly one-of-a-kind.
I would be delighted if you could find one that you love.
I hope you can enjoy the cozy atmosphere woven by the clay and glaze as a touch of color in your daily life.

*Notes on Purchase and Use*
・Due to the porous nature of pottery, it may absorb water, and in some cases, colors may seep into the crazing or moisture may appear to seep through.
For this reason, we apply a water-stopping treatment to our products using a food-safe sealant before shipping, so there is no need for initial soaking (medome).
The water-stopping treatment requires 2-3 days, which is why we set the shipping period to 5 days from order placement.
If you do not require the water-stopping treatment, please let us know at the time of purchase.
・Cutlery shown in the product images is not included.
・We strive to photograph and edit product images to be as true to the actual product as possible, but please understand that colors may appear different depending on your monitor environment and lighting conditions.
・As this item is also sold on other sites, in the rare event of overlapping purchases, priority will be given to the customer who completes the purchase process first. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.
・While you can use this item in a microwave (for reheating) and dishwasher, the vibrations from microwaves and the high-pressure spray of hot water may accelerate deterioration. We kindly ask that you refrain from using them as much as possible.
・Please refrain from using in an oven or over direct heat.
・After use, to prevent stains and mold, please wash thoroughly, dry completely, and then store in your cupboards or cabinets.
