Fairy Cameo Necklace - Fairy Gazing at a Water Drop (Pink) Vintage Style

A necklace featuring a lovely fairy motif on a cameo pendant. This cameo is made of acrylic resin. Unlike traditional cameos carved from shells or stone, this acrylic version allows for incredibly fine details and expressions that are difficult to achieve through traditional carving on such a small scale. It looks just like an illustration from a miniature storybook... The delicate artwork evokes the "Flower Fairies" illustrations by Cicely Mary Barker, which were once cherished as collectible cards in Japan. The motif depicts a fairy gazing at a water drop on a leaf. Her gesture of lightly pinching her skirt is truly adorable. She wears a bell-shaped flower as a hat. (Our shop's "Fairy Hat" charm sets are actually inspired by this kind of whimsical imagery!) In larger versions of this pattern, one can see a tiny insect like a ladybug on the leaf, but at this size, it appears more like a water drop, which is why we’ve titled it this way. The pink color of the cameo is reminiscent of the rare pink hues found in Wedgwood’s Jasperware (fine ceramics decorated with reliefs inspired by ancient Greek art). The chain is adorned with a series of Czech beads in colors carefully selected to complement the romantic atmosphere of the cameo.
