This is a delicate necklace strung with antique Bohemian beads, gold-red beads, textured brass, Roman glass, a colorful array of sky-blue seed beads and gold-red White Hearts, and old Orissan brass, among other elements. The clear, oval beads are Bohemian beads from the early 20th century. They show signs of age and wear, but these only add to their incredible charm! (Bohemian bead size: 0.9cm wide, 0.7cm tall) The deep pink beads are rare gold-red beads, colored with gold for their vibrant hue. These are Venetian beads from the 19th-20th century. Tiny gold-red beads are also scattered throughout the sky-blue sections. The textured beads are brass beads crafted by the Benin people of Africa. They are incredibly finely detailed! The slender sky-blue beads are Roman glass, dating back to the Roman Empire (27 BC - 395 AD). As these long beads were once part of circular bangles, they have a slight curve. The various sky-blue beads are antique seed beads from India. Their worn texture is a unique charm that comes from being worn for many years (around the 19th-20th century). Each bead varies in size and shape, creating a richly expressive and tiny accent. (Bead size: 2.3-2.8mm) The subdued red beads are antique beads known as White Hearts. They are named so because their core (heart) is white. These are beads from Venice, circa 19th-20th century. Their muted red color comes from gold used to achieve the red hue, earning them the designation of rare gold-red White Hearts. The golden beads are old Orissan brass. These are old and rare beads from the state of Orissa in India. The charm on the clasp also features an old brass part from India. The slightly bent clasp and the circular beads are Karen silver. Each tiny Karen silver bead on the clasp is individually stamped!
