This piece is from Bijoux Fix of France (originating in 1823). The gold plating on the jewelry is a thick layer of 14K or 18K gold, resulting in a beautiful color. A classic Art Nouveau style brooch. The brooch features flowing, naturalistic leaf motifs on both sides, with soft, curved lines. The circular relief of a woman's profile is commonly seen in jewelry from the late 19th and early 20th centuries, often symbolizing maternal love, purity, or elements associated with the Virgin Mary. The overall condition is excellent, with a wonderful metallic sheen. Both the front and back are beautifully preserved. There is a small area on the back where the metal appears slightly darker. This can be gently polished with a jewelry cloth to lighten it, and a cloth will be included for the buyer's use. Material: Metal, Gold Plated. Dimensions: 6.8 x 1.2 cm.
