Characterized by its natural tanning process, each hide possesses a unique tone and pattern, making every watch band distinct. **Lining Leather** The lining leather used is also a vegetable-tanned “Buttero” from the same Conceria Walpier tannery. As this part is in direct contact with the skin, we use only the natural, undyed color of “Buttero” for the lining. **Band Thickness** The band has a thickness of approximately 2.5 mm. In fact, it constitutes only 20% of the world's leather production, with chrome-tanned leather making up the remaining 80%. Unfortunately, it can be difficult for the untrained eye to distinguish it solely by sight. However, you can always trust your nose: vegetable-tanned leather has a rich, distinct aroma. Faux leather made from plastic will certainly lack this unique "leather scent," as will most leathers produced using other tanning methods.
