The ingredients for "Wild Call" largely embody a philosophy of coexisting with nature, gathered from the mountains and caught from the sea, embracing seasonal eating.
The East Coast experiences the "Black Current," and every year from April to June, flying fish arrive in Taitung along this current.
In Taitung, we use sugarcane, acacia wood, and moonlight leaves to smoke them for eight hours. This process infuses the plant's aroma into the fish meat, creating a limited-edition, delicious smoked flying fish for everyone.
Size: Each flying fish is approximately the size of a plastic water bottle, with varying weights, priced at $200 NTD per fish.
Storage: Can be stored frozen for one year.
Recommended Preparation Methods:
> Steam in a rice cooker or heat in an oven and enjoy the original flavor. It carries the essence of the sea, fresh fish, sugarcane, and acacia wood.
> Shred the fish meat and use it to make fried rice.
> Cut the fish into pieces and stir-fry with chili peppers and scallions.
> Cut the fish into pieces and quickly stir-fry with green peppers over high heat.
> Flying fish soup with bitter melon, or flying fish soup with miso and tofu.
