◇ Production Organization / Linen Mill (CJW) - Bangladesh
Founded in 1973, this fair trade organization helps women who lost their fathers and husbands during the Bangladesh Liberation War and were forced to live on welfare to gain financial independence with their own hands. The first event was a Linen(corchorus capsularis) manufacturing training program for two Catholic sisters. Since then, for more than 40 years, efforts have been made to improve the social and economic conditions of poor women. He was also a pioneer member of the International Fair Trade Federation (IFAT), the predecessor of the World Fair Trade Organization (WFTO).
Provide a source of income by producing products using locally available natural resources such as Linen, grass, rattan, bamboo and clay. A wide variety of products are currently produced in 23 production areas and exported to Europe, the United States, Australia and Asia.
