Matryoshka: Children of the Farm

A set of nesting wooden dolls, known as Matryoshka. This set includes 5 dolls. The design is inspired by children living on a farm. From largest to smallest, each doll holds a calf, a lamb, a pig, a chicken, and a chick, respectively. The faces are kept simple, with the natural grain of the wood preserved. Designs are etched with a pyrography tool (wood burning) and colored with stain paints that highlight the wood grain. The colors will not fade, so feel free to open and close them as much as you like for play. All the smaller dolls fit inside the largest doll, which depicts a girl holding a calf. Please avoid storing them with the top and bottom separated. *If they are difficult to open or close, hold the doll horizontally in front of your chest and gently twist to separate, rather than pulling straight apart. *Contains small parts.
