This one-of-a-kind tea bowl was hand-thrown using locally sourced Taiwanese clay and wood fired for four continuous days. During the firing, natural ash from the burning wood settled on the surface, interacting with flame and clay to create subtle variations in tone and texture that cannot be replicated.
The foot ring has been carefully hand carved, giving the bowl a grounded, organic presence. It sits confidently, while still feeling light and balanced in the hands.
Measuring 12 cm wide and 9.5 cm high, it is well suited for tea but equally beautiful as a contemplative object on a shelf.
Each mark tells the story of fire, ash, time, and place. No two pieces from a wood firing are ever the same.
