The glaze has a smooth, matte texture and produces a deep green color reminiscent of the color of the forest. I created a soup cup that combines these two elements. It is a generous size, larger than a typical soup cup. It can also handle hearty soups and vegetable stews. I use a small electric kiln and an electric potter's wheel at home to make my pottery, and all processes, from kneading the clay to shaping, bisque firing, glazing, and final firing, are done by hand. The plump, rounded shape, rough texture, and slight weight give it a ceramic feel. Although we cannot mass-produce them, each one has its own unique character and you can enjoy the flavor that comes from being made by hand.
