Artist's Introduction: Clay is the softest, most universal memory deep within everyone's heart. It's our closest friend, allowing us to shape it freely as we wish. With both parents being ceramic artists, it felt natural for me to grow up surrounded by clay in the studio.
Tea culture is a significant aspect of Chinese heritage, but the hurried pace of modern life makes it challenging to experience and savor its beauty. Many classical arts, like calligraphy and ink painting, are gradually being forgotten or overlooked by younger generations. Yet, these are invaluable treasures unique to China. The aesthetic education we receive from childhood might be more inclined towards foreign trends, favoring modern, bold designs and colors. I particularly admire the freedom of ink; despite its monochrome palette, it can express a myriad of emotions through variations in density, depth, and the rhythm of lines. By merging Chinese tea culture with the art of ink, I aim to attract young people to explore these traditions in a way they find appealing and beautiful, demonstrating that they can indeed be a stylish and engaging activity.
