There's a small story behind why we came to represent this brand.
In late 2024, just before a scheduled business trip to Korea, a sudden curfew was imposed, only to be lifted moments before our flight. After arriving safely, we found ourselves trapped in a subway car. Protesters were flooding in, pushing us so intensely that we could barely breathe or move, feeling almost suspended in the air. We kept asking ourselves, "What do we do? Will this turn into a stampede?" We encouraged each other to stay calm, find ways to breathe, keep our heads up, and most importantly, stand firm to avoid falling. Thankfully, after a few stops, the overwhelming crowd disembarked at Yeouido Station, leaving us shaken and in tears.
A few stops later, we exited the subway and unexpectedly stumbled upon Hyejin's exhibition. The cats' languid and serene postures instantly calmed the storm we had just weathered. We, who felt lost and frightened, felt as if we had firmly returned to solid ground.
From the bottom of our hearts, we felt, "It's wonderful to have cats in this world."
Hyejin's cat creations are truly treasures.
And thus, this unexpected partnership was formed. 🤍

Hyejin's style blends modernity with traditional Korean techniques, creating her works slowly and by hand.
We deeply admire the nostalgic, retro feel in her art, reminiscent of the folk scroll paintings from Korea's Joseon Dynasty.

Every stroke meticulously outlines incredibly refined details, creating works that can be admired for a long time.
Creating art with traditional Korean craftsmanship requires immense patience. The artist applies color layer by delicate layer until the piece achieves rich depth, saturated hues, and a profound intensity.
Even small details like butterflies and grasshoppers are rendered with soul and exquisite detail.

Each painting captures the cats sharing our space. The cats' "unhurried pace" and "quiet companionship" embody the message the artist wishes to convey.
Hyejin frequently holds solo exhibitions in Korea and has been creating art for over a decade.

Hyejin uses her own cats as her primary muses, portraying them as both mischievous and sharp-eyed, embodying a perfect blend of "fierce yet cute" personalities with a unique character. This creates a sense of conflict and harmony, a flawless fusion of tradition and modernity.
By incorporating contemporary styles and characters, she depicts the lives and thoughts of animals within traditional art.
She employs techniques such as *Gongbi* (meticulous brushwork) and uses Korean Hanji paper, which is less common in the market. This paper lends a warm overall tone to the artwork, while the intricate *Gongbi* lines provide exceptional detail and refinement.

This warm feeling and unique combination seamlessly integrate contemporary painting styles without any sense of dissonance.
