Cultural Travel Design Backpack-Yingge Style

The design process of the cultural travel backpack is to experience the creative inspiration, emotional memory and cultural context brought by the city through neighborhood visits, street scene collection and photographic records. After shooting in Yingge area, we selected 7 photos, extracted the local symbolic colors from the photos, and designed 7 corresponding styles. Yingge is famous for its ceramic exhibition business. Innovative designs can be seen everywhere in Yingge Old Street, which is connected with art and cultural activities to create a unique Yingge aesthetic. The colors of Yingge are mainly taken from the ceramic industry, some of which are from the shops selling porcelain on the street, some from the texture of the brick walls, there are also famous tea drinking places and pottery workshops, and there are also characteristic spaces that preserve kilns. It is hoped that the colors conveyed through the photos will present the humanistic side of Yingge's craftsmanship. The backpack is lightweight and provides ample storage space for users. The bag is designed with two compartments. The main compartment can hold notebooks, water bottles, and umbrellas, and the front compartment is convenient for placing small items such as pens and keys. The user can adjust the length of the shoulder strap according to the habit of shoulder or side carrying, and collect items at any time while walking. Each backpack comes with an inner label with a color photo of the scenery and an external pen bag. The pen bag can be used as a storage package at ordinary times. After rolling up the shoulder strap, it can be fixed with the rope at the top of the pen bag and the hardware buckle at the end. The Yingge style uses a Khaki ribbon with a Yingge red side label. The pencil case cooperates with a local electric embroidery manufacturer in New Taipei City to embroider unique regional place names. The New Taipei City Cultural Foundation hopes to promote the cultural and historical development and industrial characteristics of different regions in New Taipei City through field surveys, interviews, and the design of cultural travel objects, combined with the aesthetics of life. In the process of entering the local area, it rethinks the relationship between the community and the environment, thereby conveying the spirit of human history and local industry, and making the local characteristics of New Taipei visible.
