At the moment, I have designed 18 types of rock glass, but I felt that there were many logical and mathematical works that seemed to be cut vertically and horizontally.
Therefore, I worked on this design to create a work centered on curves in order to increase the range of design.
I used to make a "congratulatory wine glass" mold with a wine glass that is suitable for cutting curves, but I adjusted it to see if it could be dropped well with a rock glass.
Although the shapes of wine glasses and rock glasses are different, the part that attracts them also changes.
Especially in rock glass, you have to be aware of the sheer feeling of the lower part so that you can see the color of barrel aging when drinking whiskey or tequila straight or rock.
I personally like alcohol to the extent that I qualify as a tequila maestro (tequila sommelier), so I am thinking about designing from the user's perspective.
I think that many people enjoy the difference in color due to the difference in aging period such as swing, reposado, and anyejo in tequila, and the difference in color depending on the barrel such as bourbon barrel sherry barrel.
Therefore, I adjusted it so that there are more transparent parts at the bottom than in the case of wine glasses.
The photo is filled with water so that you can see the sheer feeling.
When it comes to designing to raise the grade, we are conscious of the good taste and feel.
As a device to the touch, we have put 5 fairly deep cuts on the side so that the shape of the bottom can be changed.
By doing this, I think that the edge when holding the glass gives the comfort peculiar to Kiriko.
The function to give a touch is the functional beauty that leads to the design.
Also, as you can see from the video, if you add a fairly deep cut, the appearance will be complicated, so I think it will be quite beautiful.
There is also work on the mouth.
By rubbing with an inclination on the mouth side, the mouthfeel will be very good.
This mouthfeel is different from the trendy thin glass.
I would like you to drink water when it is first used, but I think that the water tastes very good because of its good taste.
I identified and considered the requirements when humans feel comfortable.
It is shaped to meet about three of these requirements, and I think it is a work that will surely satisfy you.
The traditional Kikutsunagi pattern is cut on the emblem in the center of the glass.
Chrysanthemum ties are the most difficult cuts in traditional patterns.
It has the meaning of longevity, disease-free breathing, nobility, and integrity.
Not only is it beautiful to look at, but it also has auspicious meaning.
Also, as a work that looks beautiful, there is a part that is finished in a frosted glass shape by erasing.
If you add one point of erasing processing to the design, you can express the luxury and elegance of the glass, so we have adopted it.
I have designed various things, but it is one of the masterpieces and I personally like it.
