Kiriko glass made by independent Kiriko glass artist Saito Hikaru.
We learned the secret techniques of hand polishing at an Edo Kiriko workshop that was founded over 100 years ago, and even though we consider the productivity and profitability of the technique low, we value the tradition and want to deliver authentic Kiriko to our users, so we also value the technique of hand polishing.

The seed shot glass was created as the final shot glass design for now.
This will be the first time I've completed my project, so my goal is to fully utilize my creativity and create a design that is full of originality.
I want to create a powerfully designed piece that can be submitted to competitions around the world.
I started thinking about the design at 7am and stayed in the studio for 12 hours, without eating or drinking, until 7pm, thinking and carving.
Then, at 7pm, I was knocked out and said, "No good! I can't come up with a good design that will strike a chord with users!" and lay on the floor of the workshop, staring blankly at the shot glasses I had been test cutting.
As I looked at the shot glass I had randomly cut into pieces, I thought, "It looks kind of like a plant seed."
I intuitively felt that if I subtracted the design from this, made it clear where the lines would go, and cut them neatly, I could create something good.
And so this seed shot glass was born.
When I was carving the prototype and looked at it from above, I was astonished.
I don't think I've ever created such a beautiful design before, and I think it's definitely a masterpiece.
The design structure is honestly too complex to explain in full here.
Anyway, I just want people to understand that "it looks beautiful because it is a design that has been carefully thought out while taking into account the laws of the land."
People overseas have also commented on this product on social media, saying things like, "Great job!"
I feel that good products are not just something that satisfy Japanese sensibilities, but that people overseas also feel the same way.
When they pushed aside the vines, they found the seeds of a mysterious, sparkling plant that no one had ever seen before.
I am sure that with the water of hard work, this seed will blossom into its own beautiful future.
