"What is Aizen?"
Is it a vat of deep blue dye soup, a dye shop on Sanxia Old Street, or a Hakka robe?
Indigo dye used to be an important product of Taiwanese trade.
After half a century of silence, it shows its modern style with craftsmanship.
In this course, Flea Dyeing and Weaving will lead everyone to learn techniques such as clip dyeing and tie dyeing.
Dip the fabrics into the dyeing liquid by hand to complete two indigo dyeing works
From the story of the development history of Aizen in Taiwan
Understand the differences between natural indigo dyeing and chemical indigo dyeing
to binding, designing and dyeing
Let’s immerse ourselves in the indigo dyeing process and discover the beauty of dyeing and weaving!
**｜Materials used for indigo dyeing experience｜**
Natural indigo mud, artificial alkali agent, artificial reducing agent
**｜Experience content｜**
1. Understand the indigo dyeing process
2. Learning the techniques of clip dyeing and tying dyeing
3. Dyeing techniques and implementation of works
4. Cleaning and unpacking to complete the beautiful indigo dye work
**｜Works｜**
1 pure cotton square towel (size approx. 30x30 cm)
1 A4 bag (size approx. 29 x 33 cm)
**｜Experience time｜**
The experience lasts about 1.5 hours. The actual end time will be adjusted slightly depending on the number of people and the dyeing progress.
**｜Applicable objects｜**
Anyone who is interested in handcrafting can participate (at least primary school age 5 or above)

Registration method｜Please report to the staff on the first floor of the Printing Studio, and you will be taken upstairs to the experience classroom

Workshop Description

1. This is an experience course only for those who have purchased tickets. Those who have not purchased tickets are not allowed to attend and watch or make together (two people will make one). If two people want to make one product together, two people will be charged.
2. In order to preserve the teaching quality and class rights of other students and teachers, admission will be open 10 minutes before the course time. In order to allow the experience activities to proceed smoothly, please be careful not to be late. If you fail to check in without any reason or are late for more than 15 minutes, you will not be admitted and no refund will be given.
3. Since teachers must prepare materials in advance, in order to protect the rights of teachers, if the ticket is refunded due to personal factors of the consumer, a 30% handling fee will be charged, and no refund will be given within 10 days before the event.
4. If the event cannot be held due to force majeure such as natural disasters or typhoons before the event, we will contact you for an extension or refund.
5. During the experience class, staff will be available to take side shots as needed and upload them to the Facebook fan page and Instagram brand page after the event. In the future, photos and images containing your portrait may be used for event records or other recruitment channel promotions. You are welcome to download relevant photos yourself.
6. If you do not want to be photographed, you can proactively inform the staff at the event site, and we will pay attention and avoid it.
