There's a little story behind why we decided to represent this brand.
At the end of 2024, just before a planned business trip to Korea, a sudden curfew was announced. It was lifted just before our flight, and after arriving safely in Korea, we found ourselves unexpectedly trapped in a subway car. Protesters were flooding in, pushing us so tightly that we could barely breathe and couldn't move – we were practically suspended in the air. We kept wondering what would happen, fearing a stampede. We encouraged each other to stay calm, to find ways to breathe, to keep our heads up, and most importantly, to stand firm and not fall. Thankfully, after a few stops, the overwhelming crowd disembarked at Yeouido Station, and tears of relief streamed down our faces.
A few stops later, we exited the subway and stumbled upon Hyejin's exhibition. The cats' languid and serene postures instantly calmed the turbulent storm we had just experienced. It felt as if our shaken and startled selves were firmly grounded once more.
From the bottom of our hearts, we truly believe, it's wonderful to have cats in this world.
Hyejin's cat creations are such treasures.
And so, this unexpected representation came to be. 🤍

Hyejin's style blends modernity with traditional Korean techniques, crafted slowly and painted by hand.
We are deeply fond of the retro, nostalgic feel in her works, reminiscent of the folk painting scrolls from Korea's Joseon Dynasty.

Every stroke meticulously outlines incredibly detailed elements, creating pieces that can be admired for a long time.
Creating art with traditional Korean craftsmanship requires immense patience. The artist applies color layer by delicate layer, achieving rich depth and saturated, profound hues.
Even tiny butterflies and grasshoppers are rendered with exquisite detail and soul.

Each painting captures moments of cats sharing our space. The cats' "unhurried pace" and "quiet companionship" embody the message the artist wishes to convey.
Hyejin frequently holds solo exhibitions in Korea and has been creating art for over a decade.

Hyejin primarily uses her own cats as her muses, depicting them as both mischievous and sharp-eyed, embodying a perfectly spirited and characterful feline. There's a sense of conflict and harmony, a flawless fusion of tradition and modernity.
By incorporating contemporary artistic styles and characters, she portrays the lives and thoughts of animals within traditional art.
She employs Korean paper, a material less commonly seen in the market, and meticulous brushwork techniques. This paper lends the overall artwork a gentle, warm tone, while the refined lines of her detailed brushwork ensure exquisite detail and depth.

This warm, wonderful combination makes the contemporary painting style feel seamlessly integrated.
