In 1949, she graduated from the Saratov Art School, where she studied with Ivan Shcheglov and Borys Mylovydov. Since 1954, Alexandra Babkova participated in republican, all-Union, and international art exhibitions. In 1955, she graduated from the Kyiv Art Institute, where she studied with Oleksandr Pashenko. Since 1958 she has been teaching at the Kyiv Art School. She lived in Kyiv. She became a member of the National Union of Artists of Ukraine in 1960.
