This is an SDGs-conscious Kintsugi jewelry piece, upcycled from ceramics created by Haka-gama, a pottery studio located in Imari City, Saga Prefecture.
Cracked or chipped ceramics, no longer usable, are given new life. They are repurposed and adorned with Kintsugi to become exquisite accessories.
The concept behind these creations is to bring the beauty of nature and Japan's enduring traditions closer to you, transforming them into modern accessories that connect to the future and foster new possibilities.
Elegant grey ceramic fragments are accented with freshwater pearls.
Kintsugi is applied to the sides of the ceramic pieces, allowing the gleam of gold to catch the eye from every angle, lending an air of refined sophistication.
These pieces are perfect as a unique accent for both casual and elegant outfits.
Length: 12 x 16mm
Earring findings: Screw-back clip-on earrings (findings cannot be changed)
Weight: Despite being made from ceramic fragments, they are lightweight and comfortable to wear.
Each piece is a one-of-a-kind creation, making it an ideal gift.
They are also perfect for presenting to someone special.
*As these are finished, one-of-a-kind items, we are unable to accommodate requests for changes to the findings or future reproductions.
*The item pictured will be sent. However, if sold on another site, it may be made to order. In such cases, please note that there may be individual differences in color, pattern, and size of the ceramic fragments and natural stones compared to the product photos.
*Kintsugi is a traditional Japanese repair technique that mends broken or chipped ceramics using lacquer and gold powder. This piece utilizes a modern, simplified Kintsugi method. Unlike traditional Kintsugi, which uses natural urushi lacquer, this process employs adhesive for the primary bond.
The Kintsugi areas are created using lacquer (a manufacturer-produced coating, not raw urushi) and gold powder (brass powder, pearl powder), with UV resin also used for reinforcement.
