When used as a personal dish, it's perfect for donburi (rice bowls), noodles, pasta, generous portions of risotto, or stews and pot roasts with plenty of vegetables. The creation process involves preparing the clay, shaping, bisque firing, glazing, and final firing, all by hand using a small electric kiln and electric potter's wheel at home. The plump, rounded form, soft texture, and slight heft convey the essence of pottery. While mass production is not possible, each piece has its own unique character, offering the charm that comes from being handmade. The item you receive will be the same as pictured. The base of the bowl has been sanded to minimize scratching your table. We create a variety of pottery, exploring different glazes and clays to find the best combinations, resulting in diverse colors and shapes. For this reason, we treat our tableware with a water-blocking agent before shipping, so there is no need for an initial "mekomi" (water-blocking) process. As the water-blocking treatment takes 2-3 days, the shipping period from order to dispatch is set at 5 days.
