Bamboo forest and firefly glass [Shikon Yamabuki]

This is a very elegant glass with a bamboo grove, fireflies, a circular window, and a full moon peeking out from the bottom engraved on the covered glass, which is also used for Edo Kiriko. On the inner side of the glass, a bamboo forest spreads out and the light of fireflies dances. In order to reproduce the faint light of fireflies, this firefly is intentionally engraved with a slightly distorted, distorted circle rather than a mechanical perfect circle. The round window on the bottom is carefully engraved with the moon and clouds using a technique called "danbori". When you pour a drink, the bamboo forest on the side and above all the clouds and moon on the bottom sway, creating a very charming atmosphere. Normally covered glass has two layers: transparent and colored, but this one is unusual because it has two layers: purple and amber (orange). Usually, the color on the outside is carved and the design is drawn, but this one is a little special and the inside is engraved. Since the pattern is designed using only engraving, the color will not fade due to washing or deterioration over time, which is common with regular printed cups.
