Vintage Dutch ceramic lidded storage jar for "Koffie" (coffee) made by Victoria. The Victoria company can be dated back to 1883 when it was founded by a London company Lazarus & Rosenfeld Ltd.in Karlsbad (Karlovy Vary). In 1885, it was bought by Franz Schmidt and renamed Porzellanfabrik Victoria Schmidt & Co. In 1945, the factory, together with the Altrohlau Porcelain Company, became a part of state owned EPIAG / Starorolský Porcelán and in 1958 Karlovarský Porcelán Stará Role II.
Nowadays it is a part of Thun Karlovarský Porcelán. The mark at the bottom of this pot was in use between 1918 and 1939. This jar is in undamaged, fairly good condition with signs of usage and aging. The photographs are a part of the description.
