|░ Reasons to Love Jadeite ░|
"Wear jade for three years, and jade nourishes you for a lifetime."
Crystals possess powerful energy fields but require regular cleansing. Jadeite is a natural hard jade with a warm, gentle nature. While its energy field may not be as strong as crystals, jadeite's inherent energy is exceptionally pure and clean, offering only beneficial influences and dispelling negative energy.
Currently, over 40 minerals have been identified in jadeite. Its chemical composition is Sodium Aluminum Silicate—NaAI〔Si2 O6〕, often containing trace elements such as Calcium (Ca), Chromium (Cr), Nickel (Ni), Manganese (Mn), Magnesium (Mg), and Iron (Fe).
White: Essentially contains no impurities.
Red: Contains trivalent iron. [2]
Black: Contains over 2% chromium.
Green: Contains over 2% chromium and divalent iron.
Yellow: Contains iron.
Purple: Contains manganese.
Blue: Similar to green, but much rarer.
Trace element "Calcium" (Ca) is the most abundant mineral in the human body, primarily found in bones and teeth, with calcium also present in blood and muscles. Calcium is a crucial regulator of bodily activities and plays vital physiological roles throughout life, from childhood to adulthood and old age. Calcium is an essential element for human health and longevity, a macro-mineral that the body cannot lack.
Trace element "Chromium" (Cr) is of considerable importance for maintaining normal physiological functions. It can prevent cardiovascular diseases and help regulate blood sugar. The body cannot synthesize it independently and must absorb it through natural foods or supplements. For individuals with type 2 diabetes, it can enhance insulin sensitivity. For those who are overweight, it aids in managing cholesterol and blood sugar. Individuals under high stress lose chromium faster than average, making it particularly important for these three groups.
Trace element "Nickel" (Ni) is an indispensable trace element for the human body. The body of an adult contains approximately 6-10 mg of nickel, primarily concentrated in the brain and liver. Nickel is absorbed in the intestines, and unabsorbed nickel is mostly excreted in feces. Only 10-20% of nickel from food is absorbed by the body.
Trace element "Manganese" (Mn) is another category of trace elements that protects the body. Jadeite also contains this element. Long-term wear of jadeite can promote blood circulation, accelerate metabolism, alleviate aging, and prevent certain age-related diseases.
Trace element "Magnesium" (Mg) is also a macro-mineral that the body cannot lack. Like calcium, magnesium is a necessary nutrient for normal bone growth. Sufficient magnesium levels can effectively regulate calcium and maintain normal neuromuscular function, with both having a synergistic effect. Magnesium can inhibit platelet aggregation, so deficiency may increase the risk of cardiovascular diseases. Moreover, magnesium deficiency can lead to chronic inflammation in the body and is associated with the occurrence of many chronic diseases, especially cardiovascular mortality. Some studies have shown that people who drink hard water, with relatively higher calcium and magnesium content, have a lower mortality rate from cardiovascular diseases. Therefore, normal blood magnesium levels reduce the risk of atherosclerosis.
Trace element "Iron" (Fe) aids enzymes in biochemical reactions and metabolism, making it one of the "essential trace elements" for the human body. An adult body typically contains 3-5 grams of iron, with 60-70% distributed in red blood cells. Other cells also require iron to function smoothly.
Medical research indicates that jadeite possesses powerful therapeutic capabilities. Long-term wear of jadeite can not only prevent diseases but also alleviate or even treat certain ailments.
Treating Chest Tightness: Some individuals with weaker constitutions may experience chest tightness. Wearing a jadeite pendant can help alleviate common chest tightness. The jadeite pendant emits energy into the "Long Han" and "Shen Fu" acupoints on the chest, and through continuous massage, it can achieve a root-cause resolution.
Traditional Chinese Medicine Theory: In TCM, jadeite is also known for its benefits in "clearing middle-heat, moistening the heart and lungs, nourishing hair, nourishing the five internal organs, calming the spirit and soul, unblocking blood vessels, and brightening the ears and eyes."
Regularly wearing jadeite jewelry allows its trace elements to be absorbed by the skin, aiding in the coordination and balance of physiological functions of the body's organs.
Nourishing the Skin: Jadeite jewelry, whether necklaces, earrings, or bracelets, can be in direct contact with the skin. The mineral elements in jadeite enter the body through this contact, nourishing women's skin and making them appear fairer and more radiant.
Cooling Down: Jadeite's cool characteristic provides a therapeutic and cooling sensation. In the Tang Dynasty, during summers, Yang Guifei would hold jade in her mouth to cool down. Since then, summer became a time of refreshing coolness. Jade pillows, bracelets, beds, and pendants have a cooling effect.
The above are evidence-based reasons for the benefits of jadeite. Another, less tangible, reason is that when feeling down or stressed, looking at jadeite can have an inexplicable mood-healing effect, as if finding comfort.
