A short, haori-style cardigan, mud-dyed to evoke the imagery of changing landscapes. A traditional Japanese pattern is embroidered on the back. Dyeing the ecru fabric creates a warm impression. The design features a relaxed fit through the body, shoulders, and upper arms, ensuring it drapes beautifully without clinging. <Material> Crafted from a cotton-linen blend that combines the soft texture of cotton with the subtle crispness of linen. The fabric has a pleasing weight, neither too thin nor too thick. This natural material is breathable and durable, offering a rich texture. <Dyeing> Dyed using Ben-gala mud, an eco-friendly method resistant to aging. Ben-gala (iron oxide) is derived from the earth, making this a dye that returns to the soil. The result is a finish imbued with the warmth of hand-dyeing. The base color is a warm orange (iron vermilion), with the hemline layered with pink (madder) for a gradient effect.
