Vintage bone china teacup and saucer from the Lenora series made by Royal Albert

Vintage English bone china teacup and saucer from the Lenora series made by Royal Albert. Thomas C. Wild bought the Albert Works in Longton, Stoke on Trent in 1895. This factory had been named after Prince Albert, Queen Victoria's Consort. It specialised in tea, breakfast and dessert pieces with floral designs, and it soon gained a reputation of producing beautiful china tea & breakfast sets, firmly establishing the Royal Albert name. The Lenora design was introduced in 1962 and was produced into the 1970s. It features a Montrose style cup and scalloped saucer. This set is in undamaged, fairly good condition. There is wear on the gold tones of both the cup and the saucer. The saucer has surface marks on the glaze, and more so towards the center at the top.
