Material Explanations: The prevalent material used in the mixandfun design studio is 14K gold filled. This involves plating a layer of 1/20 14K gold over a brass base. It's a popular choice in recent years, known for being easy to care for, maintaining its color for a long time, and offering a more accessible price point compared to solid 14K gold. Solid 14K gold, on the other hand, is entirely composed of 14K gold, both inside and out. It contains approximately 58.5% gold, with the remainder being silver, iron, or copper. In Taiwan's climate, solid 14K gold requires even less maintenance and presents a more refined hue. It's also an excellent option for those with sensitive skin. Specially plated alloys are another material we frequently use. mixandfun meticulously selects unplated chains that we particularly love and then applies a special electroplating process. This ensures the color remains vibrant for an extended period under normal wear conditions. Wearing Precautions: 1. It's best to put on your accessories after dressing and remove them before changing into loungewear. We do not recommend wearing them while bathing, and avoiding hot springs and swimming is strongly advised. 2. For earrings, we suggest using the provided silicone backs to minimize the risk of loss. 3. Given Taiwan's warm and humid climate, if you won't be wearing your accessories for an extended period, gently wipe them with a soft cloth before storing them in a sealed bag. 4. For delicate chains, make it a habit to fasten the clasp when taking them off to reduce tangling. 5. All gold-filled, solid 14K gold, or specially plated alloy pieces will naturally show signs of wear over time. Your understanding is appreciated. 6. A little maintenance tip: If you notice any signs of oxidation, don't panic. You can prepare a bowl of water with a pinch of salt and a small piece of aluminum foil. Submerge your solid 14K gold or sterling silver jewelry for about 10 minutes, then remove and dry. This should help restore its shine. (Note: Material composition can vary slightly between brands.) It's recommended to test this method on less expensive silver items first. 7. You can place solid 14K gold or general alloy jewelry in your palm, take an old toothbrush, dip it in a small amount of toothpaste, and gently brush for about half a minute. Rinse with clean water afterward for a sparkling finish. (Note: Material composition can vary slightly between brands.) It's recommended to test this method on less expensive silver items first. 8. Antiqued or brass jewelry is not a material mixandfun commonly uses. For proper care, please refer to specialized sellers. 9.
