Each piece of drawing paper is a unique opportunity for Mu Ling. She pursues an ideal state in the creative process. While the crayons seem to be free to walk on the paper, she talks about each stroke and color. Unclear high standards of self-criticism, a little hesitation or restraint will need to be repeated. This is a self-practice like spiritual practice. Every piece of drawing paper that is put down cannot cause the burden of the next stroke. Then try to use these most relaxed lines to infect the feelings and state of her pursuit to the viewer. What we see is a randomness of creation and the accident of finishing the work, and a result of trying to relax without leaving traces.
