Hand-knitted Earflap Hat: Autumn Forest

Watching the colors shift while knitting reminds me of leaves changing shades due to the temperature. The earflaps are knitted with a different elasticity than the main cap, offering a less restrictive feel. The back edge of the cap is intentionally longer to provide warmth for the neck. Due to the varied colors and textures of the yarns, each hat features a unique color combination. Photos 1-3 show the size S model, and photos 7-9 show the size L model. The size L model in photos 4-6 has been sold. The hat is crafted from seven types of yarn: Yarn 1: Japanese PUPPY brand multi-color novelty yarn, 82% wool, 18% nylon. Yarn 2: Mustard yellow flecked yarn, 10% cashmere, 10% alpaca, 30% silk, 50% merino wool. Yarn 3: kauni brand 100% wool yarn. Yarn 4: Purple 100% wool yarn. Yarn 5: Charcoal gray yarn, 5% alpaca, 65% extra-fine merino wool, 30% nylon. Yarn 6: Gray 100% baby alpaca yarn. Yarn 7: Spanish dark gray mohair, 72% mohair, 28% polyester.
