This series of coffee cups was created during my artist residency in Takeo, Japan, using locally sourced Japanese black clay and Shigaraki clay.
The inspiration comes from the wildflowers that bloom in the area during spring.
Each piece is made using the Nerikomi collage technique.
Dimension: 8 x 8 x 8.5 cm ( Holds about 330 ml )
* Hand-washing is highly recommended for handmade porcelain/stoneware.
* Remember to keep the porcelain ware dry after washing.
* The phenomenon of partial crackle in the clear glaze is due to the difference in the shrinkage rates of the clay and the glaze, not because of damage to the object. Please use it with confidence.
* Each handmade ceramic piece is one of a kind, and there may be slight color variations and handmade marks. Please make your purchase only if you are comfortable with these characteristics!
