Kutani-yaki (Japanese: Kutani 焼/くたにやきKutani-yaki) is one of the classifications of Japanese porcelain. It is colored porcelain produced in Kanazawa, Komatsu, Kaga and Nomi in southern Ishikawa Prefecture.
Gorgeous paintings are the biggest feature of Kutani ware. Five colors of red, green, purple, yellow and blue are used as the main glazing colors, of which red is less used, and blue, green and yellow are the main colors. Its painting composition styles can be divided into the following types, namely dye painting, green hand (buried hand), color painting (five-colored hand) and red painting (golden hand).
