**Plant-dyed, immersed by hand, settled in water, and colored by the sun – these are the natural hues.**
**This is nature's gift, the creation of human hands, holding the memory of time and the warmth of craftsmanship.**
**> Order Information**
As this is a fully handmade, custom-made product, please expect a lead time of approximately 5 days. Returns and exchanges are not possible. Kindly confirm your willingness to wait and your acceptance of minor handmade imperfections before placing an order.
The indigo-dyed cotton fabric and cord are cut from a single piece, meaning each item's pattern details will vary uniquely. Items will be shipped randomly.
**> Indigo Dyeing**
"Azure, taken from indigo, yet bluer than indigo."
Polygonum tinctorium, an annual herb of the Polygonaceae family, is primarily used for dyeing, hence the name indigo dye.
Indigo dyeing is a type of plant dyeing. Through multiple immersions and many unpredictable processes,
it creates marvelous color gradients and textures. This is nature's own creativity and the allure of indigo dyeing, always offering unexpected surprises.
**> Plant Dyeing**
Plant dyes are sourced from nature. Different plants yield different colors, imbuing fabrics with pure, soft tones and a subtle herbal fragrance.
Upon the first wash, there may be slight fading, but this resembles the colors softened by time – possessing a natural, tranquil, and lived-in charm.
**> Care Instructions**
1. Traditional plant-dyed items have undergone water washing and color fixation.
Due to handmade dyeing, color variations are irregular and uneven; each product will have slight differences. Please be aware of this.
2. Plant-dyed characteristics make them resistant to dirt and sweat. If stained, local cleaning is possible.
They can also be washed in cold water without soaking. Do not wring forcefully. Avoid prolonged exposure to direct sunlight; hang to dry in a cool, ventilated area.
3. Wearable during daily routines and light activities; no need to remove.
However, considering that cotton fabric takes time to dry when wet, which could affect its lifespan, wearing it while showering is not recommended.
**The purer the indigo dye, the less colorfast it tends to be due to the absence of chemical fixing agents. However, this characteristic is an indispensable part of its charm. The fading that occurs after use is beautifully referred to as "luò sè" (falling color). Without this fading, indigo dye would lose its unique allure.**
