Ximending Red House — Located in Ximending, Wanhua District, Taipei City, the building is now designated as a municipal historic monument of Taipei. Today, the Red House has become one of Taipei’s well-known cultural and creative as well as performance venues. Tourists from all over frequently pass through the area, and various events are held during holidays and festivals.
Every year, Wanhua hosts a major religious event — the Qingshan King Festival, commonly known as the “Monga Grand Worship.” During the festival, the Qingshan King conducts a nocturnal inspection, accompanied by temple processions and parade troupes that also pass by the Red House. The Qingshan Temple Eight Generals Troupe, each holding shackles and chains, perform powerful three-step marching movements, creating a vibrant and spectacular atmosphere.
