Hand-Woven Linen Scarf [Seifu*04]
Material: 97% Linen, 3% Silk
Size: Approx. 40cm x 170cm (excluding 5cm fringe)
This medium-sized scarf is meticulously hand-woven using the finest 120-count linen threads, sourced from a renowned yarn dealer in Kyoto. The threads are dyed in various colors before being woven, resulting in a piece that is sheer, exceptionally light, and drapes softly without any stiffness.
Two shades of yellow and grey linen yarns are artfully combined, with distinct patterns at the center and ends, allowing for versatile styling and a variety of expressions.
The ultra-fine ramie linen yarn, half the thickness of standard linen yarn used in hand-weaving, is characterized by its minimal fuzz and subtle sheen. With a fine density of 500 warp threads, it offers a remarkably supple feel. Linen scarves excel in absorbency, moisture-wicking, and quick-drying properties compared to cotton, ensuring a dry and refreshing sensation against the skin. This makes it a perfect companion for three seasons, from spring through autumn.
*Please note that creases may form during shipping. Gently steaming the scarf will restore its smooth appearance.
*Complimentary gift wrapping is available upon request. Please let us know if you would like to use this service.
