brand introduction
Handcrafted eyewear by Genic Eyewear is both aesthetic and functional, as eyewear is a lifestyle necessity and a fashion accessory at the same time. Designed based on Asian face shapes and contours, the glasses frame shape, including width, curvature, frame size and nose pad height, is adjusted to make users feel more comfortable. The brand draws inspiration from many aspects, especially retro and nostalgic styles, and its influence can be seen in the color and shape of the frames. Limited production, each pair of glasses is hand-made. The production team is led by Hong Kong masters with more than 30 years of experience. They use high-quality Italian plates and win with craftsmanship and details.
The brand also organizes workshops on a regular basis, allowing students to design unique glasses, participate in part of the production process, and experience the beauty of hand-made glasses.
Genic Eyewear is one of the few self-owned eyewear brands in Hong Kong. It is made by a 50-year-old eyewear factory, and it is produced in China and handmade. Each finished product is personally inspected by the designer to ensure the quality.
Designer profile
Emily graduated from the London College of Fashion with an undergraduate course in Footwear Design. During his studies, he has cooperated with many well-known brands, and his designs have also been nominated to be exhibited in the National Victoria and Albert Museum. After returning to Hong Kong, Emily established the eyewear brand - Genic Eyewear by using the eyewear knowledge instilled in her by her family and the design aesthetics absorbed in London.
