Recalling leisurely Tuesday afternoon bike rides: dressed in vintage attire, meandering through the tree-lined streets of Shanghai's former French Concession. Sunlight dappled through the leaves onto the white zebra crossings, while a diverse tapestry of people—young and old, in slow motion—filled the roads.
