🌸Japan has the largest ceramic output
Specialty in fine tableware - Mino ware
🏮Mino-yaki from Gifu Prefecture (Toki City, Tajimi City, Mizunami City, and Kani City) in Japan is one of the oldest local kiln-fired ceramics in Japan. At present, about 60% of Japan's domestic ceramic tableware is Mino ware, and its output ranks first in the country. The colors are carefully controlled and a delicate balance is achieved between the plain colors of the clay and the glaze, and it is officially designated as a traditional craft.
Mino-yaki works are mostly tableware, with beautiful and delicate appearance and excellent quality. They are all fired by hand. Different from Kutani ware, Mino ware is mostly in a simple style without complicated or gorgeous patterns. Because it is tableware, the surface treatment is very careful, and the glaze on the surface reveals a shining brilliance after being fired.
