In that moment, you see something precious inside you shining bright, and it feels as though something new is about to begin. A beautiful, sky-like light blue gleams— the very color of the emotions within your heart. As that color shines, the world suddenly clears and brightens. The light visible ahead is the light of hope. This is a new pair of hook earrings—my first new creation in quite some time. They feature a combination of beautiful, sparkling blue topaz and silver. They offer a shimmer that is subtle yet possesses a distinct, confident presence. *About the Piece* Every element, including the stone settings, is handcrafted by me to perfectly fit the stones. There are various theories regarding the origin of its name—ranging from the island of "Topazion" in the Red Sea to the Sanskrit word "Topaz," meaning "fire." While the stone's color can shift significantly due to light or heat, it is said to embody the quality of sincerity and is believed to help clarify the path one should take in life. "Silver 925" Silver 925 (also known as Sterling Silver) is an alloy consisting of 92.5% silver mixed with other metals, such as copper. Since 100% pure silver lacks the durability required for jewelry, "925 silver" (sterling silver) is the standard for most silver accessories on the market. Notably, 925 silver is rarely sold to the general public in its raw bullion form. Like brass, silver is prone to "sulfidation"—darkening or yellowing due to exposure to elements in the air. To maintain its shine, wipe the piece clean after contact with water or sweat, and store it in a way that minimizes air exposure. While tarnish can be removed with silver polish, please exercise caution; polishing agents are abrasive, so excessive polishing or accidental contact with natural stones can cause scratches or damage. The most important precaution concerns hot springs. Exposure to sulfur in hot springs can turn the silver pitch-black—sometimes to the point where it cannot be restored—so please strictly avoid wearing silver jewelry while bathing in hot springs.
