Taiwan Endemic Species Alishan Gentian Amethyst Earrings (Post/Clip-on)

As its name suggests, "Gentian" signifies bitterness. It thrives in sun-drenched, open spaces at mid to high altitudes, in scree or forests, blooming from April to September. Gentians are highly sensitive to sunlight; their flowers close when clouds gather, signaling a change in weather. According to Takiya Kawakami's specimen collection on July 10, 1933, the location was Zhushan in the Alishan mountain range. However, it was actually collected en route from Alishan to Yushan; it is not distributed in Alishan itself. These accessories are handcrafted, drawing inspiration from original hand-painted watercolors. The dangling gemstone is amethyst. Total length approximately 3cm.
