Hand-fired Enamel Leaf / 925 Sterling Silver Necklace - Sketchy Art Style with Silver Chain

This is not cold enamel or epoxy resin. The pendant is enamel fired at 800-850°C. This enamel piece may be one of RiXuan's rare creations. It was made using training equipment from when I was a student. My current studio is not equipped with an enamel kiln. The creation process is roughly as follows: 1. Sawing a copper sheet into a leaf shape. 2. Hammering to create curves and shaping the stem for the pendant loop. 3. Cleaning and polishing the copper base. 4. Applying the first layer of enamel powder and firing in an 800°C enamel kiln for 30-60 seconds. 5. Allowing it to cool naturally, then applying a second layer of enamel powder and firing again at 800°C. 6. The fired enamel is vitreous and fragile. 7. The final steps involve lengthy polishing of the edges and attaching a silver chain. 8. Soldering the clasp at the end of the silver chain. ✦ Dimensions & Materials / Pendant: Enamel on a copper base Dimensions: 30 x 18 x 2.5 mm / Necklace Chain: Sterling silver (925) Length: 40 - 45 cm (including a 5cm extension chain) / The chain and pendant cannot be easily separated and require tools. / The pendant slides along the chain. ✦ Care Recommendations • The pendant is enamel fired at 800-850°C. The surface is a vitreous ceramic glaze, which is fragile and likely to break irreparably if dropped. • Avoid wearing it during exercise. • The silver chain naturally oxidizes over time. When not worn, it is recommended to store it in a completely sealed zip-lock bag in a dry environment to minimize air exposure and slow down oxidation. • Oxidized or darkened silver can be polished with the included silver polishing cloth. Do not wash the polishing cloth. • Keep away from sulfur and avoid wearing while bathing in hot springs, as this will cause the silver to oxidize rapidly and turn very dark. ✦ Please Read Before Ordering • All items are photographed in kind.
