This metal bookmark is crafted using the "precision etching" technique.
Etching is a chemical process that selectively removes portions of a metal surface to create intricate designs. The varying depths of the etched lines are achieved by controlling the duration of the chemical etching process. In essence, by manipulating the interplay of time on a small metal plate, we aim to evoke the spatial grandeur of a century-old architectural masterpiece.

Following the etching process, the surface is treated with a coloring technique. We chose a "golden hue" to symbolize the enduring historical value of the museum. This also reflects the poetic interplay of light and shadow that has graced the building's linear and geometric beauty for a century, particularly as sunlight streams through its beams, columns, windows, and lintels along Zhongzheng Road.
