This fabric panel features a classic pattern of poppy flower lover and birds, made using the traditional Okinawan craft of bingata dyeing. My beloved grandmother had a field of poppies in her garden. I have fond memories of playing in that garden, picking poppy seeds and drawing faces on the center of the flower lover after the petals had fallen. Great for your home or as a gift. The paste is handmade by steaming a mixture of rice flour and rice bran, and the colors are based on traditional Bingata.
