Such is the Notes of My Listening to the Diamond Sutra—Jiang Xun

The "Diamond Sutra" is an oral notebook with many discussions on philosophy and life. It is a reliance for many people to get through difficult times. In 2024, Taiwan has gone through many tests of the epidemic, earthquakes, and typhoons. Taiwan Good Foundation specially invited teacher Jiang Xun and artists Tsang Yongling and Dong Chenglian to perform "The Diamond Sutra." With the title "All Appearances Are Not Appearances", I tried to transform the essence of the "Diamond Sutra" into form on the beautiful Chishang of Heaven and Earth, and presented it in the Chishang Granary Art Museum. Teacher Jiang Xun also wrote down his personal experience in three notes of 25,000 words. This class taught in Jishuji Loneliness Garden more than 2,800 years ago has been passed down to this day. It is the characteristic of Kumarajiva’s Chinese translation of the Diamond Sutra. And the changes in different eras, beliefs drive changes in technology, repeated interpretations of classics and layer upon layer of experience. Everyone is invited to follow the guidance of the text and enter the world of the Diamond Sutra, have a dialogue with oneself, live in the present moment, and understand the essence of life. It is presented in the form of a library version with an appendix of the full text of the Diamond Sutra, making it convenient for readers to review, recite, and search at any time.
