This work uses a modern, simplified Kintsugi technique; therefore, unlike traditional Kintsugi using raw lacquer derived from the urushi tree, this piece utilizes adhesive for the primary bonding. The Kintsugi parts are created using lacquer (a commercially produced coating, not raw lacquer) and gold powder (brass powder, pearl powder), with UV resin also incorporated for reinforcement.
