Kiriko glass made by independent Kiriko glass artist Saito Hikaru.
We learned the secret techniques of hand polishing at an Edo Kiriko workshop that was founded over 100 years ago, and even though we consider the productivity and profitability of the technique low, we value the tradition and want to deliver authentic Kiriko to our users, so we also value the technique of hand polishing.

For the final sake cup, I wanted to create something that was not ordinary, but had an original design that I was completely satisfied with and that only I could come up with.
I struggled with the design for about six days, and during that time I came up with a few good ideas, but I ran into difficulties as I felt I couldn't fully express the ideas on the small canvas of a sake cup.
The initial concept for this design, Senrigan, was to carve the rings of a tree asymmetrically.
However, the grain of the wood in the center of the tree began to become visible.
I thought, "There aren't many curved designs, so I'll create something with a slightly dark worldview based on the theme of eyes," and from there I completed the design in one go.
It was as if I had been struggling for six days and the design was completed in no time at all.
It was at that moment that I first felt like the design had come to me.
There are four main focuses per tier, up to the second tier.
In addition, small round secondary eyes are placed here and there.
The overall design is made up of curves that form the shape of an eye, but there are also straight lines here and there, giving it a complex feel.
Although the design has a dark worldview, these eyes are clairvoyant and see through everything.
When viewed from above, it looks like a beautiful flower lover.
This clairvoyance may be seeing the dawn of life, the blossoming of life, in your future.
We hope you will consider purchasing this for yourself, as a present, or as a gift.
