If the leather becomes saturated with water, dry it as soon as possible and reapply oil for protection. Allowing it to air dry can cause the leather structure to shrink, deform, and harden. 2. To avoid dark water stains if water drips on the leather: Use a pure water wipe, a damp (but not dripping) tissue, or a paper towel to evenly wipe the entire affected leather surface. Dry with cool air. If only hot air is available, maintain a distance of at least thirty centimeters from the leather. After drying, evenly apply leather oil for maintenance. 3. Avoid prolonged exposure to sunlight. 4. In addition to the warmth and oils from your hands gradually imparting a natural, warm luster to the leather, we recommend regular polishing with a dry cloth followed by maintenance with leather oil. 5. Mold spots on leather form from dust meeting humidity in the air. For leather items not in use for extended periods, first wipe off dust with a dry cloth, then wrap in a dust bag, kraft paper, or cotton cloth (cut from an old white cotton t-shirt) and store in a well-ventilated area. Alternatively, frequent handling of the leather item (to prevent dust and moisture accumulation) can reduce the chance of mold, similar to the principle of a rolling stone gathering no moss. 6.
