Four-Strand Bracelet with Antique Iron Blue Seed Beads and Caramel-Colored White Heart Beads, Kakamba Clasp

This is a four-strand bracelet, meticulously crafted with antique iron blue seed beads and caramel-colored white heart beads. The iron blue beads are vintage seed beads from India, dating back to the 19th-20th century. Their slight irregularities in size and shape create a unique harmony when strung together. These beads were once part of personal adornments like necklaces. (Bead size: 2-2.5mm) Caramel-colored white heart beads add a touch of color to the clasp's loop. They are named for the white core visible within their translucent glass, a characteristic of Venetian beads from the 19th-20th century. Irregularly colored white heart beads also accent the four strands. The golden beads are old Orissa brass, rare and ancient beads originating from the Orissa region of India. Each small bead on the clasp is made of Karen silver and features a unique, hand-engraved mark. It's truly humbling to imagine the painstaking, individual craftsmanship involved. ◇ Karen Silver ◇ This silver is crafted by a hill tribe living in Thai Burma. Each piece is handmade and is said to possess exceptionally high purity. The beads used for the clasp were made in the Czech Republic and exported to Africa, known as "Kakamba" in West Africa (early 20th century). At first glance, they appear black, but when held up to the light, their beautiful sapphire hue is revealed. As they are antique, minor scratches may be present.
