Large vintage English service The Brook of the famous Myotts porcelain factory from Staffordshire. A very elegant service in blue and white, traditional for Staffordshire dishes. The items are decorated with rural scenes and each type of plate is painted with its own pattern. Combining a rich palette of deep blues and an off white background, the dinnerware features an ornate border of basket weave and grapevines. Within the border, peaceful scenes of cottages, trees, meadows, and brooks are executed in all the detail of the original etchings. The Brook Blue is made from high-fired earthenware and has a chip-resistant glossy glaze over the transfer-printed pattern. It will become a real decoration of the table setting.
