Plating can peel and fade over time, and I prefer the enduring quality of pure materials. Many factors influence ring size, including finger shape, tendency for swelling, measurement method, season, and temperature. Even with tools, a perfect fit cannot always be guaranteed; slight variations in size are common. As long as the ring is not so loose it falls off or so tight it causes pain, it is considered normal. 2. When using a ring sizer, aim for a fit that is comfortable and secure. If a size 12 is too loose and an 11 is too tight, a size 11.5 might be suitable. Fingers expand and contract with temperature changes; your finger size in summer is typically about half a size larger than in winter. Consider this when measuring. Ideally, a ring should feel slightly snug in summer and slightly loose in winter. Alternatively, wearing different rings on different fingers depending on the season can be a solution. __If you are prone to finger swelling, avoid measuring during periods of swelling__ to ensure accuracy. 3. If you do not have a measuring tool, it is recommended to visit a local jewelry store or goldsmith and ask them to measure your size with their tools for greater accuracy. 5. Cut a strip of paper approximately 5mm wide (a wider strip can affect measurement accuracy). Wrap it around your finger snugly but comfortably, marking where the paper overlaps. Lay the paper flat and measure the circumference. You can then compare this to a ring size chart or provide the measurement to the designer. __This method is prone to error if the paper is not pulled taut or is pulled too tightly__, so proceed with caution. 7.
