This year marks my 9th year creating and releasing original illustrated calendars!
Reflecting on my very first calendar in year zero (2017), it was a handmade gift drawn card by card to thank a friend who hosted me during my working holiday in Tokyo.
At that time, I hadn't yet begun formal illustration studies and was merely someone who enjoyed drawing, so it wasn't available for sale. Since then, I've created a calendar each year to share with more people at the end of the year~ I have friends who support me annually, and it's been met with so much love and feedback (truly heartwarming🥹💖).
For 2026, my ninth year, I wondered what new forms I could explore.
Unlike previous years' designs that were wall-hanging or meant to be affixed to walls, this year's calendar is printed in a smaller postcard size and includes a wooden stand.
This makes it easy to place on the desk where you work or study every day, allowing you to flip through and admire it anytime, or even use it as a bookmark.
The date and illustration sections are completely separate. Once you trim off the date part, you're left with a charming little card.
